Corrective Action Plans

Providers Should consider the following steps when writing a CAP, 1c Providing written documentation to demonstrate compliance related to each violation and submitted revised policies, procedures, and forms, as applicable.

  1. What is the timeline for these submissions? Is it when requested, during a follow-up review, at regular intervals, etc.? Policies cannot be changed immediately due to Board participation and forms may take longer than is allowed during the CAP submission process for the changes to be made as the response must be received within 15 business days

Bottom of page 2 – “If CAP is returned to the provider a second time – the licensing specialist will offer to have a phone call.”

    1. This is an important step as lack of providing support would then seem unreasonable to provide an additional citation for not submitted an approved CAP in a timely manner.
