This program goes against the Prudent Layperson standard. It will create delays in care, thus creating "sicker" patients later. It will disproportionally affect those patients that need it the most. It will demoralize Emergency Medicine providers as it strikes against the goals of our care. Overall, it will further erode the medical safety net.
