There are multiple problems with the EVV system. First: onboarding doesn't work. Our attendant has an old iPhone (because these people only make $9.40/hr so there should be no expectation that they have the latest and greatest in cell technology) and we were on the phone with consumer care direct for 2 hours trying to get her set up to no avail.
Second: as the EOR we are already verifying their hours. What additional level of fraud protection does this really give?
Third: our attendant does not want to give the system access to her phone's camera or locati
on- this data and personal information is very private. Unbelievably so. So just in order to get paid, she doesn't want to do it. It is so so so SO hard to find attendants who will work for only $9.40/hr, adding this level is going to make it even harder to find someone.
