"Supports individuals using self-direction services and facilitates flexibility for appointments and services. CMS has issued guidance that EVV will assist in the reduction of potential fraud, waste and abuse and has stated that EVV is a “positive step towards safeguarding beneficiaries.”    (HA HA HA )  EVV does the opposite.  Attendants can now approve their own time.  Attendants cannot be hired in most parts of the state.  This takes away the civil liberties of beneficiaries by tracking them 24/7 and makes it impossible to stay home now because it effectively eliminated consumer directed care in Virginia.  This does not support individuals using self directed services and causes all kinds of issues with scheduling as pay is cut left and right when the attendants are there actually working.
