My son's hours got cut last March 2019 from 56 to 31.5 per week by the MCO company. I appealed and lost. A general practice doctor who had NEVER met my son overturned the nurse case manager and service facilitator's approvals for 56 hours. Then I went to the ombudsman and to Senator Stuart's office. I also met with a reporter from the Free Lance Star who did a front page story about it. I submitted letters from my son's doctor, his physical therapist, and Brain Injury Services. Score one for me. I at least got him back to 49 hours. Nothing like an angry momma bear and they screwed around with the wrong one. Now we have to be monitored and tracked via EVV.
