Plans to reduce climate change

We need to do everything we can to reduce our use of fossil fuels.

1. Stop the MVP and ACP. I am ashamed to live in a state with a government that approved them. They are wrong for so many reasons, but the number one reason is climate change.

2. Two planned offshore wind turbines  project is laughable. We should have hundreds by now. We should not allow Dominion to be in charge of our energy needs, they have proven themselves inept by how long they've dragged their feet on off shore wind . They're not interested in the needs of Virginians, all they care about are profits.

3. Get serious about solar. On homes, on government buildings, on schools, by airports, everywhere possible. Reduce costs. Dominion doesn't need to increase their profits, make them affordable.  We should be allowed to store our own power from our rooftop solar panels. If we are on the grid we should get a reduction in cost, no user fee. Give incentives.

4. Transportation-  Tax breaks on electric vehicles and more charging stations. Every road should have safe bike paths. When cyclists can commute safely everyone wins- less traffic, cleaner air, healthier people.

5. New buildings should be more energy efficient.

6. Close coal power plants. Again, Dominion is out -dated.

7. Invest in research on renewable energy. Invest in science programs in our schools.

Thank you for paying attention to what Virginians want
