Preserve Health and Safety Regulations that Protect Women

Health and safety regulations are absolutely essential to many industries to help protect the public. Why not abortion clinics? Who is playing politics here? Would abortion rights advocates agree with deregulating other industries? Anyone with common sense can understand that the current regulations have been put into place because the operators of these clinics were clearly not able to provide safe, quality services on their own.  If Virginia is serious about protecting women, then these regulations should be left in place. Whether you agree with abortion or not; both side should be able to agree that these clinics should operate at a high standard. The women of Virginia deserve no less. Why should they settle for second or third class care? Just in the name of having access to abortions? That's simply reckless public policy.
