LMHP's are valuable members of a counseling team, but finding quality LMPH's and paying for their services is difficult.

Reimbursement rates have not changed in 17 years, cost of living has increased dramatically in that time, and some regulations have stiffled the quality/quantity of work that can be provided (which reduces the time an LMHP can spend on direct clinical care).

If Virginia want's more LMHP's they should pay better rates to cover the cost of hiring these professionals.
