Limiting licensing education to only CACREP accredited schools is a disservice to the citizens of Virginia. CACREP may at any point disassociate from CORE which will bar any graduate from a CORE accredited school from pursuing licensure. This means that there will be no licensed counselors trained to serve people with disabilities who understand the unique needs of the population CORE trained counselors do serve. Both CORE and CACREP should be specifically named in the regulation. Core should not be listed merely as an affiliate at the mercy of cacrep's whims.
