The focus on one accrediting body to oversee all of Mental Health counseling is non-inclusive. Other industries have multiple valid accrediting bodies (e.g., teaching). This regulatory action will limit the diverse voices of the great state of Virgina and ultimately hurt those who are in need (patients across the state).
