The current code does not recognize an expiration date - any ID, even an expired ID, should be accepted at the polls.  Many seniors in my community haven't renewed their licenses since they stopped driving.  They should not lose their right to vote!  This is just one more attempt, like poll taxes, to take the basic rights of citizenship away from Americans who might not re-elect those in office.
