Regulations are an absolute must for any surgical procedure, let alone one that is so dangerous. A woman in early pregnancy has a very soft uterus which can be easily punctured with infertility or death resulting. If products of conception are left in the uterus than a woman can develop a severe infection and infertility or death. Women in Virginia deserve to be protected. Every other surgical procedure of this magnitude requires regulations with hospital priveleges for the surgeion. Why should this be an exception. It should not.
