I am saddened by the apparent hostility to women in need of gender-based health services. We already have agencies and non-profit organizations that serve women in need of reproductive health services. These organizations have a good safety record for their patients.
There is no medical reason for requiring hospital- equivalent physical conditions in health clinics. Such requirements raise the cost of their services and leave some women with no recourse but to forego needed medical treatments and tests. In fact, it appears to me that such requirements are a cover for the goal of closing down such clinics.
If men could get pregnant, it would be a different story! If it's your wife or daughter with a difficult and perhaps unplanned pregnancy, I hope you would empathize with other women in such circumstances who don't have the financial ability to go to private doctors.
