This measure is a step backwards for the rights of women to health care and for women's health in general. Why are you singling out clinics that provide health care, including abortions, to women and requiring ONLY those facilities to meet more rigorous standards—such as wide hallways and tall ceilings—that aren’t required of other medical practices that perform invasive and often more dangerous, medical procedures such as dental surgery, plastic surgery, or colonoscopies. If clinics that perform more dangerous surgeries are not held to the higher standards, than why abortion clinics? It is a clear attempt to limit a woman's right to chose and is wrong to target women. Stopping women from having safe places for abortion do not stop abortions; just stop safe ones. Do you really want your mothers, daughters and sisters to go back to the days of dangerous back-alley abortions?? Stop the TRAP regulations.
