These women's health centers provide essential, LEGAL reproductive health care to Virginia's women, particularly low-income women who cannot access such care elsewhere. They should not be used as a political football to suit those in our government who do not agree with the law of the land with respect to abortion. The TARP regulations would cause many centers to shut down. The irony of the situation is that these centers provide not only abortion but also birth control--which means there would be MORE unplanned pregnancies, something we should all be against.
