To be quite honest, I am a service facilitator so I have a pretty vested interest in not losing my job in 5-6 months. I LOVE being a service facilitator, I love advocating on my clients behalf and fighting DMAS and fighting with PPL and CDCN regularly to ensure my clients have everything they need. I do not believe moving to a support broker model will be beneficial in any way to the state but certainly not to our clients. You have no idea how hard these families work to keep their disabled loved ones in their home, safe, and healthy and to continue to add in barrier after barrier is a disservice to the community. Do NOT change how service facilitators operate in Virginia. To do so is a complete violation of human rights.
