I am opposed to dry needling from athletic trainers because they do not have the proper training and education. They have not gone to school for 4 years with over 2,000 hrs combined coursework in anatomy, physiology, pathology, needling techniques, clean needle technique certification, meridian theory, and clinical internships. Coursework for dry needling is only 20-100 hrs, if it is taken at all. This cannot be safe for the dry needling recipient.
