Please help keep the cost of health care reasonably affordable in the Commonwealth by omitting regulations designed to force the interests of certain groups and ideologies into decisions that should be made solely between a woman and her doctor.
Medically inappropriate and unnecessarily burdensome regulations would restrict access to essential health care services for the women of Virginia and further marginalize young, low-income, uninsured and minority women by decreasing their health care options.
Moreover, the public's time and tax dollars are being spent on crafting regulations that are intrusive, run counter to the best interests of women, and in violation of a patient's privacy. It is my hope that the regulations will be amended to be based purely on medicine and science and should not impede women's access to essential health care. Thank you for keeping the unenlightened interests of uninvolved individuals and groups out of the private trust that exists between women and their health care providers.
