The current regulations are reasonable, common sense measures that ensure that life-saving equipment is available, infections are prevented, and that clear WRITTEN policies are in place and building guidlines are followed.  Medical experts were involved in their formuations, and they were approved overwhelmingly by the Deparatment of Health.  They are not extraordinary for any 'health care facility'.
