Kratom is a lifesaver

I am a 46 yr old male in the state of PA. I am a productive member of the community with a job requiring national board certification and a state license. I have a clean arrest history, and am diagnosed with a mitochondrial disease. This causes, among multiple issues, extreme fatigue. It is so bad that I could sleep for 24 hours and then fall back asleep. The drs have offered nothing medicinally because there are no options. I use kratom intermittently throughout the day at low doses and it is the only thing that helps. I have a primary doctor, a rheumatologist, a musculoskeletal neurologist, a general neurologist specializing in this disorder, and some supports (PT, OT, ST) who are all aware of the kratom usage and are universally in support knowing that nothing pharmacologically is a better alternative. Because of Kratom, ai am able to work 32-38 hours per week. Without it I would be forced to go on disability as there is no way I could get through a work day. Yes, disability was even mentioned during my last multidisciplinary appointment. I enjoy my job, it took 9 years of college, 3 degrees, and too much effort to give up on when something as beneficial and harmless as Kratom can allow me to work. Please leave Kratom alone and instead establish safety measurements such as third-party inspections to guarantee quality for the people to use it without worry of contaminants.
