Please keep Kratom legal and available - from personal experience

Hello-

I am a highly productive member of society - a 50 year old man working for a top IT firm, husband and father of two that also happens to suffer from lower back pain.  Ibuprofen doesn't touch it and I do not want to go on opioids.  There is one thing that has provided me relief over the last 8 years and that is Kratom.

I get routine physicals every year, my bloodwork is immaculate.  I have never suffered any health problems in my years of using Kratom.  On the contrary, the relief that I get from taking Kratom allows me to focus on my family and my work.  Kratom should be legal, regulated and available to adults so that we can have tested products.  If this is moved to Schedule I, then we will seem the same failed policies with this that we had with cannabis where things just move to alleyways and nobody can be sure of the quality of the extract.

I beg you - please consider the many, many thousands of people who find relief in this safe, natural extract.  I think the vast majority of citizens in this country are tired of being told what they can and can't do for their own health.  The thought of either having to sit through hours of painful sitting and trying to grit my teeth and concentrate through pain while I work is so depressing.  Especially - when I know that people in other states have access to a natural extract that does not have NEAR the addictive or potent qualities of the opioids that our doctors are fine with prescribing.
