As a strong hurricane bears down on the southeast, I write this plea for Virginia to remain in the RGGI. Living in coastal Virginia, I am deeply concerned about rising sea levels. Flooding is now so much more more frequent causing property damage and disruption of travel throughout Hampton Roads. Virginia needs to set a better example of responsible government that listens to its citizens and shows an awareness and understanding of the science behind climate change and rising sea levels.
