VA Senate Bill 924 Stricter Regulations of Women's Health Care Clinics

I am a minister who care about the lives of women.  My reliiogus faith causes me to speak out about my  concerns that the Bill 924's regulations are written in such a way as to make it more difficult for many women to receive the health care they need.  Since many of the women's clinics who provide family planning, pregnancy, and abortion services are often the only places which are easily accessible to poor, young, or under-privileged women, making it more difficult for those clinics to remain open effectively bars health care services to these women.  I do not believe that the regulations which require these clinics to meet hospital-level standards will in any way increase the safety of the facilities.  The current clinics have a 30-year record of safety and service!    These regulations are a thinly-veiled form of discrimination against women, and I protest the adoption of these regulations permanently.  The Commonwealth of Virginia has real problems to be addressing, and should not spend time and money restricting access to affordable comprehensive health care.
