Virginia took a significant stand for the health of women this past year by enacting regulations that treat abortions centers more like hospitals, ensuring that they would be better equipped to deal with medical emergencies resulting from injuries caused by abortions. Unfortunately, last year was a year in which we discovered that a number of women have been put in danger by providers who have grown used to not being accountable or regulated. Abortions are medical procedures and should only be done in facilities with the highest medical standards. Please keep these regulations in place and make them permanent.
