Ceiling Height Reg Would Not Have Stopped Brigham

Health and safety regulations should match both the need and the desired outcome.  No matter what the hallway width or the ceiling height, questionable medical practices like those referred to in the accusations surrounding Brigham would not automatically have turned out any differently.  There are policies and procedures in place for investigating allegations of poor or questionable medical practices. They need to be addressed and handled.

For over 10 years, health care providers, women's health organizations and private cicitzens called for investigation into Brigham's poor practices in multiple states - to little avail.

To play into the political agenda of decreasing, and eventually eliminating, access to abortion care services under the guise of 'protecting women from the alleged 'Brigham-like' experience' is an abuse of power - and of women and is misplaced and misdirected at  the dedicated quality providers who care for women each day.
