Why?

What is the point of trying to make abortion illegal again?  Why don't we start to prosecute men who get a woman pregnant? Where oh where is the penalty and responsibility there?    People will seek to end a pregnancy if they want to and that is between a woman, her doctor and often the partner that got her pregnant, not the state of Virginia.  Right now people who don't want to have an abortion are not being forced to have one, so why is this an issue?  How many people kill flys, worms, mammals and all types of life, but there is no law against that.  If this is a moral issue, not all people have the exact same morals.  If this is religious, isn't there supposed to be separation between the church and state?  Suppose the woman has to go on welfare and makes this part of a fiscal problem for the tax payers?  I don't have any kids, but I don't think I should have to pay for unwanted ones either just because the state wants to tell a woman that she has to live with this.  I used to do research and believe me I have talked to plenty of kids and young adults in jail whose parents gave them life and thats about all.

Get a grip and keep abortion legal and safe.  It will go on, as it always has regardless of bing legal or not.  I thought we were supposed to be a more enlightened and sophistocated society.
