I am writing to you to encourage you to ensure the continued availability of safe, legal first-trimester abortions and preventative reproductive health care throughout Virginia. Women need access to more health care, not less and is a proven fact that there are more deaths and harm done in locations where abortion is made illegal or severly restricted. Just because they are made illegal won't prevent women from having them. An abortion is a very safe procedure and your regulations should help to improve this safety. You should also put in place regulations to help promote sexual education, to prevent these unwanted pregnancies in the first place.
