Repeal the RGGI. Solar “farms” are destroying agriculture and forestlands.

Governor Youngkin, I applaud the repeal of the RGGI.  Industrial Solar Farms are destroying agricultural land and our forests.  There is nothing green in destroying our forests and crop lands. Solar “Farms” are also destroying wetlands and farmland with uncontrolled stormwater runoff.  These solar “farms” are going to be an environmental disaster if not stopped.  Destroying farmland is also going to raise the already high cost of food. Destroying forests is going to raise the prices of housing (increase in lumber prices) and many different household goods and office supplies.  The tax payer money used to subsidize these projects that cannot stand on their own is nothing more than welfare payments to landowners and the large power companies.   Stand firm and repeal the RGGI.  There are also issues with toxic chemicals from the solar panels contaminating  the soil,  waterways and well water.  For example. Solar Farm in Texas - panels broke in a storm with 35 mile per hour winds and leached chemicals into the soil.  Finally Southside Virginia depends on the forestry and agricultural industries to support our economy and families.  These  solar sites produce very very few permanent jobs and are going to eliminate agricultural and forestry jobs.  The solar sites are industrial power plants not farms.
