Virginia should join with the other states that share our airshed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  Global warming is having punishing effects on Virginia already and we expect climate and weather problems to get worse.  The RGGI agreement has been carefully drafted, is scientifically valid and protects the member states' interests.  Not participation in RGGI would take Virginia backwards in favor of short term profits for polluting industries, and delay the necessary transition from fossil fuel to carbon-free energy production.
