Virginia's participation in RGGI is a successful effort to reduce pollution while directly helping communities on the front lines. RGGI has raised more than $370 million thus far. Those funds help thousands of struggling families reduce energy bills and increase energy efficiency. It also helps provides funding for localities across the state to prepare for and protect against increasingly devastating floods.
