Let teachers teach

Teachers are fully capable of choosing appropriate materials for students. We should not burden them with having to notify parents of any little thing that might be “sexual.” This is too subjective. Two characters flirting? A character writing a love note? Romeo and Juliet pining for each other? Furthermore, it is vital in a diverse democracy that students be able to discuss, in conversations and in writing, a variety of topics and ideas. A classroom is an excellent place to practice these skills.
