I actually have kids in the public school system here and I have been repeatedly impressed by how conscientious they’ve been in presenting sometimes uncomfortable facts and content with caring for the kids’ wellbeing. The standards for becoming a teacher here are high and they know what they’re doing. Let them do their damned jobs.
