Opposition to SB656

The term "sexually explicit material" appears to be overly broad and vague, which will likely lead to unnecessary censorship in the classroom. Labeling books using this ambiguous term will also lead to greater confusion, putting teachers and librarians in a difficult position and adding pressure to an already tough job. In the longer run, this hurts the children we are trying to protect by limiting freedom and thought and expression in the classroom. Doesn't the legislature have more important problems to address than dictating these kinds of issues?
