STRONGLY OPPOSE- vague wording could threaten safety of LGBT books

The vague wording used in SB656 can and will be used to censor any books with LGBT content or characters, regardless of whether the content is sexually explicit or not. As a queer and trans Virginia student, I can assure you that the removal of books with LGBT content not only will be detrimental to our community, but will send a strong message that we are not welcome or safe in Virginia schools. This bill will help no one and actively harm LGBT youth.
