Vaccines save lives. Protect our kids

As a pediatrician in practice for 30 years vaccines are a no brainer. They are safe effective and have few side effects. We have eradicated several diseases with mass immunization programs for the greater public good. Got polio? Nope. Thank public immunization programs and school requirements.

Covid is the most serious infectious outbreak we've seen in our lifetimes. It won't be going away anytime soon in the US in good part because of misinformation, distrust, antivaxxers and poor understanding of how public health works.

We must protect our kids, our vulnerable and our community by requiring covid vaccines for school entry. (as we do for diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, hepatitis B, hepatitis A, pneumococcus, haemophilus influenza B, TdaP, Meningococcus & HPV.
