According to the CDC 499 children 0-17 have had a death INVOLVING Covid. Not caused by Covid, but involving.  Meaning if someone happens to die with Covid, its a death involving Covid (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid_weekly/index.htm). Also, it takes into account PRESUMED Covid, not even confirmed. Doing the math, again from the CDC, there have only been 185 Covid only deaths in 0-17 kids.  But hold on, the chart linked only accounts for Pneumonia and Flu. It says nothing of child obesity, diabetes, or any other serious underlying condition. So we can know with 100% certainty that less than 185 children have died from Covid alone.  All of these are tragic, but it pales in comparison to the 58,000 other deaths of kids 0-17 in the same time frame.  The world is not a safe place, it never will be.  If we think we need to protect children from this, then there is nothing we shouldn't protect them from. Accidental death is the leading cause of death, why don't we force kids to stay home and wear helmets, it is for their own good after all.  But it is obvious this has nothing to do with protecting children, its about scared adults wanting to be protected from children. Our job as parents is to protect our children and our children are not in danger from this virus any more than they are in danger from anything else on this earth.  It is very old adults and those with serious health issues that are somewhat in danger. So we are asking children to sacrifice themselves by wearing masks and taking unnecessary injections for the sake of saving the adults, who by the the large majority, do not need protection.  Not only is this backwards, it is a dangerous precedent that has no logical conclusion in sight. Kids are dirty, filthy little things that always have potential to carry germs and virus, so why should we not mask kids forever and vaccinate them against everything. If its for the good for the collective, why shouldn't they have to sacrifice? The answer is because they are kids and WE sacrifice for them, they do not sacrifice for us.
