| Description | The purpose of this chapter is to minimize gear conflicts between gill net fishermen and conflicts with recreational boaters caused by poor visibility of gill nets, conserve stocks of fish by establishing a minimum mesh size for gill nets, and conserve and protect sea turtles and bottlenose dolphins by establishing maximum mesh sizes for gill nets. |
