I deeply oppose this action, leave trans people alone!

Once again, here we are. And once again, a discriminatory policy regarding trans people. Restricting trans people's access to gendered spaces and activities is awful and insane and quite literally does nothing that is not harmful. Obviously transgender people are hurt by this, and feel isolated and singled out because of this, obviously it hurts trans people's mental health, a thing which is already a massive struggle (just look at the suicide rates, they're pretty astronomical, and it is BECAUSE OF THINGS LIKE THIS), obviously it impacts trans people's physical health, and if that isn't enough of a motivator (and it should be, though it usually isn't) it hurts cis people too. It is beyond insane that the excuse is usually "protecting women" for things like this when all it does is hurt cis AND trans women by reinforcing gender roles and violating them through gender inspections. How insanely invasive and disgusting and creepy. And this will of course increase incidents of sexual and physical assault, but yes, let's protect women. Let's protect them by regulating their bodies, violating them, and discriminating against them for their gender identity or appearance. But of course, you don't care about protecting anything except for yourselves and your precious societal norms. Do us all a favor and grow some spines. This action hurts trans women especially, it hurts cisgender women, and it is absolutely sickening. And, lest we forget, (as legislators constantly do) about intersex people, who are also harmed here. In general, this is accomplishing nothing but tons of damage to people who are already being hurt and marginalized. This is dreadful, and bigoted, and it hurts people deeply. And you should care enough about transgender people not to do things like this, but clearly you don't, so since you can't be empathetic human beings at least remember this. This is a terrible move for you as well. People are already angry, and it will only get worse. And why do you feel the need to attack people? Trans people are so NOT out to get anyone. Trust me. I am trans, I have known many trans people, we are simply trying to live our lives, so leave trans people and our bodies alone! You were elected to represent your constituents, not to destroy their lives, yet you seem to have forgotten that fact completely. Giving trans people access to gendered activities and spaces would hurt no one. What it would do would help people. Remember, that thing that you are supposed to be doing? So don't pass this abhorrent thing, and maybe it will become clear to your constituents that you are something more than a creepy waste of space.

I emphatically oppose 'Regulations Governing Biological Sex Specific or Separated Spaces and Activities [12 VAC 5 ?  660]'.
