I am noticing that "news" agencies use data in the most fearful way possible when reporting on diseases that were not at all dangerous when I was a child. Case in point - measles.
This collection of data specific to influenza is an invasion of privacy and delivers information into the hands of agencies that could use it in a most nefarious way. I do NOT see protection of the public in this proposed action.
I also cannot imagine the public will be fully informed about collection of data and its use so that informed consent is met. This is an important right of every patient.
I oppose the action.
