I wish you guys the best of luck. I am an avid horse racing fan, play the ponies just about every day, was a frequent visitor to Colonial downs from the day it opened until the day it closed. I was involved in both a radio and local TV show with the marketing manager of Cnl (Darrell Wood), the track hcpr (Derby Bill Watson) and a PR Guy (Kyle Fitzgerald). Colonial is a fantastic venue with a turf course 2nd to none. I am hoping the new ownership can do a better job of taking advantage of the great location and wonderful turf course. I also hope that you do not underutilize the beautiful dirt course. Previous management overdid it with the turf course. I hope to see a couple of really good dirt stakes races on the Big days. Victory Gallop was one of the most accomplished dirt course winners at Colonial. I would love to see the Victory Gallop Stakes at the classic distance of 1 1/4 miles on the main track on Va Derby day. Trainers that bring in their 3 year old Turf stars will likely have some really good dirt routers in their barns. Best of luck, Mike Barone cant wait till live racing returns
