An identification card, once it has expired is no longer valid. There is no compelling reason for invalid forms of identification to be declared valid for political expediency only. Do I still have the priviledge of legally driving once my driver license expires? No. Why should an expired ID then be considered acceptable only for voting purposes? Because this proposed rule change has nothing to do with access to polls. It has everything to do with removing all integrity of the election process. One who is too lazy (and yes - it is laziness) to obtain and keep a valid form of identification should not have an exception written into state code. Changing definitions doesn't change true meaning; calling a tail a leg does not make it a leg.
