Finalizing rules when a (LRI) is the paid aide/attendant for the personal care service

Managing my child's complex medication schedule requires absolute precision. A new caregiver may not fully grasp the critical timing and dosage needs, posing serious risks. As the LRI, I have the expertise and dedication to ensure error-free management. I am the best choice for this crucial responsibility.

The use of HB909/SB488 has empowered me to maintain my child’s medication schedule with the necessary precision. The actions of the Virginia General Assembly have enabled me to uphold this vital duty. Modifying these provisions could lead to medication errors, jeopardizing my child's health.

The current waiver draft could leave us reliant on caregivers who may not fully appreciate the significance of medication management, potentially leading to dangerous mistakes. This would directly threaten my child's well-being and safety.
