The LRI guardrails make it difficult for those in need to get the PROPER care that is REQUIRED for them. It is understandable that these situations need monitored, and it is possible to monitor and ensure that the system is not being abused, while also allowing for families to support their loved ones as needed. For parents with special needs children as well as teens and adults, it is near impossible to find the support needed with the pay that attendants are given. The job is not simple, people can go find simple jobs for much more money. Parents can provide proper care, and SUPPLEMENT their income with the attendant pay. Please allow for parents to remain attendants, without having to jump through hoops in order to do so!
