LRI

As a parent of two on the DD waiver, agency directed is not an option. Due to complex medical needs, ever changing aide schedules, behavioral challenges, and poor agency staffing and training, myself and 1 other known and trained, trusted family member are attendants. It is imperative that live in LRI for complex children and adults have the ability to work 40 hours PER person as well as rely on the oversight of the SF and CSB CM versus additional unneeded paperwork and hurdles to care in a system already difficult to navigate and rely on. Caregivers, especially live in, are exhausted and trying to maintain care in the home and need support from providers in place, not additional work. Offer 40 hours per live in, training to SF and less restrictions so they can be more involved, etc. Do not burden families more.
