Teaching social skills like cooperation, empathy and critical thinking are all good skills, but these proposed SEL standards make me wonder what kinds of biased left-based conversations will take place in the classrooms while teachers shove this curriculum on students- impressionable young minds. Lawmakers, please considers the age group and developmental appropriateness of the students who will hear these terms. High schoolers could potentially handle hearing this information and make their own decisions, not elementary school students.
