Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

By trying to enact a law slowing trans genders into schools you are going to ruin schools. First off this takes away individual freedoms when it is scientifically proven there is only male and females. By allowing boy's to "claim" themselves as girls you are going to corrupt young minds from thinking it's ok to follow the opposite sex into the changing rooms or restroom. Let me ask how high are the rape rates? Be ready for those numbers to sky rocket if this "law" goes through. The only reason these young minds think this is at all ok/normal is because adult are lieing to them saying that it is ok, the only reason we even are having to fight idiotic laws such as this is because we have gotten away from our country's core values which was all based off of Christianity. By taking the Bible and God out of schools we continue to ruin out country and our young minds
