Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

Opposed at all costs!
 

First, the idea is utterly absurd that gender is fluid.  Please wake up out of this nonsense! Of course, there have been many creative expressions of gender that were normative for that particular society throughout history.  For example, in some royal courts of the past, men dressed more fancy than, or at least as much as, the women as a standard norm in that society.  But the men were still men and the women were still women. Nobody questioned that. It is true insanity to believe otherwise. 

Second, for any child that is struggling with identity in any way, the school should NOT be DISCOURAGING the student from dealing with those emotional, mental, and sometimes spiritual issues away from their family, but SHOULD ENCOURAGE the student to work this out with full parental involvement. For it is within the FAMILY STRUCTURE that children learn and grow into who they are, not the STATE STRUCTURE. The state should be in the business of encouraging and promoting strong FAMILIES, not intruding into and taking over for the family in a government school setting.  

Third, how dare you ignore those children and families who live by the basis laws of nature as male or female and thrust this nonsense on them in a way that causes confusion at the least and possibly a loss of innocence and bodily privacy by allowing anyone to use any bathroom or locker room. That is by basic definition, sexual assault!!! DO NOT DO THIS TO OUR SCHOOL KIDS!

Please get back to focusing on reading, writing, and arithmetic and encourage STRONG FAMILIES to help their children grow up in other ways as best seen fit by THEIR PARENTS.
