Extending votting time in Virgnia

A new law was passed this year to take effect for this year's election. Leave the law alone. Word has it that leavc ing this law alone is not your intent.  Avoid useless and inevitable court battles to come if you extend the deadline past Nov. 3. These proposed changes threaten election integrity in Virginia and have the potential to undermine the "one man, one vote" principle upon which the voting rights of women, blacks and 18 years-olds fought and died over.   Any proposed change must be accompanied by a full public, advertised and televised hearing so that the public can weigh in with its opinions.

My appeal is to reason and restraint. .Allow the recently passed law to go into effect as duly passed  Then allow the public and its elected representatives discuss, debate, and decide whether and what changes should be in order for post-2020 elections.  Preserve Virginia's integrity as the cradle of this self-governing republic.  Many hope dearly that our beloved Commonwealth does not sink to the bottom of the barrel and join the dregs of Illinois and Florida in their running of elections..  Sic semper tyrannis.
