Postmark Requirement

If you want anyone to have faith in the results of Virginia mail-in ballots, it is absolutely essential that ballots be required to have a postmark no later than election day.

If you deem it important to change this requirement, it is mandatory that you hold a public hearing with more than normal notice, widely publicized, so the electorate can have a voice in this last-minute change you are proposing.

Please do not ignore existing state law to change this requirement.  Everyone has been aware for months of the date of the upcoming election and there is no reason to change the process at this late date before the election.
