PUBLIC HEARING AND RETENTION OF VOTING RULES REQUIRING POST MARKS

The integrity of our election process is essential to the perpetuation of our Democratic Republic and the ability of each US citizen to freely exercise of their inalienable rights.   Removing safeguards from the election process - like pushing out counting deadlines, not requiring a photo ID to vote, not maintaining accurate and up to date voter roles, removing requirement for late counted ballots to have a legal postmark date showing it was mailed no later than the day of the election and establishing ballot collection receptacles for dropping off completed "mail in ballots" outside of the USPS system all undermine the integrity of the election process and therefore reliance on the accuracy of the outcome.

Before any further action is taken by the governor, any other elected representative or other representative bodies on behalf of the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia - full and fair and transparent public hearings should be held to let the people's voice be heard on this very important matter.   I am against any measures that weaken the integrity of the voting process in Virginia and everywhere else in the USA.
